NA HYE SEOK'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS

I published Korea’s first feminist short story entitled  “Kyong-hui,” a semi-autobiographical piece about a woman who returns home from a Japanese university to family members and neighbours who doubt the worthiness of educating girls.

 Magazine entitled, “New Woman” demanded new designs for women’s clothing that would be much more comfortable, sanitary and better for woman’s self-image. 

I was the First Korean female to earn a bachelor's degree in western painting.
